LISTEN CAREFULLY !

" Be careful therefore how you listen..."  Luke 8:18. Words do not only have the efficacy to colour our thoughts; with their forceful potency, they simulate and propel our Spirits into a certain direction. Whereas some words deepen our fears, others expand our faith depending on their source. God-originated Words do not only invigorate us with His POWER; they also never disappoint when we live them out. So we are charged from our opening verse to listen to God alone. And when we do, we must also understand Him so we can aptly effect His Words. Here's the reason for the failure of some prophecies -  The Prophet of God might be mistaking another voice for God's voice or he misinterpretes what he actually heard God say leading to an erroneous application. It's the reason why James says, " be quick to listen but slow to speak". James 1:19. Ezekiel, the Prophet of God, full of this wisdom, would never prophesy until God first commanded him. And when he di...

REVELATION PART 2

"And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding." Daniel 9:22 KJV Our verse here lets us know that Daniel received some divine secrets from God through His angel. But how else can we obtain revelations from God? This second PART of the subject enlightens us on the ways by which we access the LIGHTS of God. 1. READING OR STUDYING. "When you come, bring the bookcase and the books that I left in Troas with Qarpus, especially the parchment scrolls." 2 Timothy 4:13 By this verse, we understand the secret behind Pauls depth in God; Paul read stories of Bible figures; He studied the Law; He acquainted himself with the promises of God, and heard the Words of our Lord Jesus as narrated by his disciples. He even made notes, kept the books and meditated upon them constantly for Lights. Paul only taught after he had studied long enough to receive some revelations. No wonder, God wrought special miracles by ...

JOANNA

MEANING OF NAME: The Lord gives graciously. STORY IN BRIEF: A wealthy woman who worked in the courts of Herod Antipas. Her husband, Cuza, was also the estate manager of Herod Antipas. Joanna followed The Lord on missions, supported His Ministry with her gifts, and was privileged to have witnessed the resurrection of Jesus. These happened after The Lord delivered her from demonic obsessions. Obviously, Joanna would have attempted winning Herod Antipas over to Jesus. But her Spirit probably was dared when Herod beheaded John for Herodias and Salomey. SHORT BACKGROUND ON HEALING: Healing, from ancient Bible days, was seen more as spiritual than physical. Egyptian physicians would often drill holes in the heads of patients in order to create an exit for these "ailment-causing spirits". There were medical doctors, yet most patients were rather sent to the priest-physicians. REFERENCE SCRIPTURES: Luke 8:1 – 3; 24:10 (and Matthew 14:1 – 12) Luke 23:7 – 12

SENSES OF THE SPIRIT !

” But solid food is for the [spiritually] mature, whose senses are trained by practice to distinguish between what is morally good and what is evil. “ Heb 5:14 AMP It’s an emphatic truth that God doesn’t only offer us His direct Voice and Visions. He also speaks and reveals through His creatures – living or inanimate. Yet, we cannot grab the import of these messages without the spiritual ability of perceiving, understanding and discerning them. There’s, therefore, the need for identifying and sharpening each of our five spiritual senses ! ( Psa 19:1‭-‬4 ) THE SENSE OF HEARING: “He who has an ear, let him hear what The Spirit says to the churches… ” Revelations 2:7. With this spiritual sense you are able to identify and discern the voice and sounds of God, angels, demonic spirits, and the sounds of activities in the spiritual realm. When your sense of hearing opens, you hear sounds while men hear noise. However, God’s not the only source of these voices; the...

ERIC JESHURUN EXPRESSES HIS CONCERN FOR GHANAIAN CHURCHES - CHRISTIAN NEWS

Eric Jeshurun,  Ghanaian Gospel Singer has shared his worries on How Ghanaian Music Right Organising ( GHAMRO ) may oppose churches in Ghana. The argument on churches paying for use of intellectual property of gospel musicians appears not to be ending any soon  as another gospel musician, Eric  Jeshrun, has described the ap proach by GHAMRO as problematic . GHAMRO's administrator Abraham Adjetey, seven days earlier, announced their resolution to ensure churches pay for using the intellectual prop- erty of gospel musician. But Eric Jeshrun, who is also a broadcaster, told Christian Agyei Frimpong on Onua FM that one of the challenges Africa presently faces with respect to taxes is the same challenges GHAMRO's decision will face. I don't have a problem if GHAMRO wants to take money from the church but my problem is the approach," he said. I think GHAMRO must begin to conscientize the churches through the Christian Council [of Ghana] because GHAMRO itself has admin- i...

EZEKIEL

MEANING OF NAME:

God is strong or The Man God strengthens

STORY IN BRIEF:

Ezekiel, son of Buzzi, like Jeremiah, started first as a priest, but later had the calling of a Prophet at age thirty. He served in the Temple of Jerusalem that was later destroyed by the Babylonians.

In the midst of events, God warned that the desire of his eye would die. And after his wife died, he was disallowed from publicly wailing - a sign of how Israel would suffer in the hands of their captivators without lamenting.

While in exile ( in Babylon by the River Chebar), the Prophet, also an artist, made a model of Jerusalem city, laid prostate and always prophesied over it. He either used symbols or demonstrations to deliver his messages.

Ezekiel acted strangely because of the strange nature of his visions; he would either cut his hair and burn it, or he totally went dumb for a period of time.

He had two major metaphorical visions where God - Israel's husband, was betayed by his wife after He had glorified her. The Prophet explained that though God was mad with Israel, He would still accept them if they changed and returned unto Him.

These rebellious people continued in thier transgressions but the Words of The Prophet were finally fulfilled. Ezekiel's last prophesy before his death was at age fifty.
