GOMER

  MEANING :  Completion STORY IN BRIEF: Gomer - wife of The Prophet, Hosea, mocked at her husband's tenderness while allowing other men to seduce her upon squandering her husband's gifts. Earlier, The Lord instructed Prophet Hosea to marry a whore from an adulterous nation, so he did. And the names of their three children, meaning: "God scatters" , "Not loved"  and "Not my people", pronounced the severity of the Prophet's seperation from his wife. Hosea is now heart-broken. The Lord does not only see the fulfilment of God's Word in His life; God teaches him lessons from Israel's unfaithfulness through her wife's misdeeds. Finally, God asks Him to still love his wife just as He, God, still loves Israel inspite of their stubbornness. When the Prophet did, his wife returned and their love life was restored. THE LAW OF ATTRACTION

  "...that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we have gazed upon, and our hands have handled,..." John 1:1 If you consider your circle now, you will conclude that friends with whom you have similar personality outnumber those with deferring personality. You should also notice that, often times, you suddenly meet with or receive calls from, those you strongly  think of and long to see. These are manifestations of the Law of Attraction ! " The heart is DEEP beyond all things... " Jeremiah 17:9 Brenton Septuagint Translation. And Psalm 42:7 says DEEP calleth unto DEEP. Equating the two scriptures will help us deduce that, HEART calls unto HEART.  SOUL calls unto SOUL. That is the Spirit of the law - Like attracts LIKE ! Our opening verse starts with HEARING or SEEING and ends with HANDLING. Until a man hears or sees, he cannot handle. THE GREATEST WEAPON !

  “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds…. “ 2 Corinthians 10:4 KJV As christians, we are not improverished of ammunitions with which to withstand the enemy and his wiles. Yet these weapons are variably effective. There is, therefore, the need to look into the nature of each of them and reasonably determine the most productive. According to Paul, in the preceding scripture, our arms are not physical; prayer, praise/worship, faith, obedience and Light, are all rather abstract though results-yielding. Now, which of these does satan fear most? Let us find out from the following paragraphs. Prayer is a good arm. It transforms both on the inside and on the outside of us. But if prayer is a request, then satan can pray too; he got far into God’s presence, requesting of His permission to try Job. He demanded of The Lord to sift Peter like wheat. REVELATION ( PART 1 )


" The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things REVEALED belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law."

Deuteronomy 29:29

REVELATION can be defined as that unique inspirational illumination of the mind in virtue of which the recipient conceives such thoughts as God desires him to commit to writing, but may not necessarily involve supernatural communication. It is a special understanding brought forth through contemplations or focus.

Revelation is Light; Light that unveils the nature, ways, plans and purpose of God to us through the scriptures, creatures, His son – The Lord Jesus, events ( historical and present ) and miracles.

In this section, we share on the two major types of revelation and their channels. Rightly Following are the these two types of revelation.

GENERAL REVELATION

These are revelations obtained from God through The Lord Jesus, creatures and people. For declaring that He and His father are one, we understand that we can God by imitating the ways of Jesus. When the stars fought against Sisera, we understand that even God’s creatures have instincts that comply with the WILL and POWER of God. And now, everyone, irrespective of their religious background, has a conscience that guides him or her. Afterall, we were made in the likeness of God Himself.

SPECIFIC REVELATION

These illuminations are obtained through history or experiences, and the scriptures. Moses’ attention was drawn to God by the unconsumed burning bush. God’s Word is also a sure source of LIGHT. From Genesis through the book of Revelation, God progressively shows us His divine nature or attributes. ( John 1:1, Revelation 19:13, Hebrews 1:3 )

According to our opening verse, we can only lay hands on that which is revealed. So let us be more desirous of God’s Lights in order to make greater exploits in Him.
