JOY : Not only did he successfully bring out the Israelites from Egypt, but he had the privilege to be called, " Friend of God."  STORY IN BRIEF:   MOSES, a son of Jechrobe and Amram, and the last of Aeron and Miriam. Moses was born at the time Pharaoh ordered that all Israelites young males be killed. So her mum had to preserve him till she was ordered to go leave him at the bank of a river. Pharaoh's daughter who later found Moses in a basket on the river, cared for him in their palace through his maturity. THE MORE GLORIOUS WAYS OF GOD !

 With God , we SCATTER to GATHER. We LOSE to WIN. We DECREASE to INCREASE. That which we LET GO, we KEEP into eternity; by GIVING, we RECEIVE, even more. And when we go QUIET, then we’re HEARD. What a life! Indeed, GOD'S WAYS ARE HIGHER THAN THE WAYS OF MEN ! References: ( Isaiah 55:9, Proverbs 11:24 & Luke 17:33 )

EZEKIEL

  MEANING OF NAME: God is strong or The Man God strengthens STORY IN BRIEF: Ezekiel, son of Buzzi, like Jeremiah, started first as a priest, but later had the calling of a Prophet at age thirty. He served in the Temple of Jerusalem that was later destroyed by the Babylonians. In the midst of events, God warned that the desire of his eye would die. And after his wife died, he was disallowed from publicly wailing - a sign of how Israel would suffer in the hands of their captivators without lamenting.  While in exile ( in Babylon by the River Chebar), the Prophet, also an artist, made a model of Jerusalem city, laid prostate and always prophesied over it. He either used symbols or demonstrations to deliver his messages. Ezekiel acted strangely because of the strange nature of his visions; he would either cut his hair and burn it, or he totally went dumb for a period of time. He had two major metaphorical visions where God - Israel's husband, was betayed by his wife after He had g...

THE GRACE OF GIVING

  “…see that you also excel in this   GRACE OF GIVING .” 2 Corinthians 8:7. It’s an indisputable fact that our walk with God is strictly a walk of sacrifice or giving. We are either giving of our strength, possessions or money. But the seeds we sow, in the form of tithes, firstfruits, or thanksgiving often yield below the peak for some christians. Such are they that are advised by Apostle Paul to excel in The Grace of Giving. One may ask, “what extra Grace do we need for giving?” ; “aren’t we supposed to simply give and wait for results?” Emphatically, NO ! Giving is disciplined by principles. There’s the need for spiritual privilege – a reconditioning of The human Spirit so one can passionately, continuously and comprehensively offer of his or her own unto The Lord. And it’s only the Grace of Giving that positions us in this state. By this Grace, we first submit ourselves (our hearts ) to God; because our hearts are now governed by God, He alone – by His Spirit, determines ho...

SAUL

  MEANING OF NAME : ASKED FOR OR DEMANDED STORY IN BRIEF : Saul, son of Kirsh, and the first king of Israel was installed in a private manner by Samuel as the people would not accept Samuel's suggestion for the need of a King. Saul was not only anointed; the Spirit of God also filled him. For which reason he ably won some battles with the Israelites in the early years of his reign. And his followers would publicly recognise him thereafter. However, Samuel denounced Saul as King of Israel because God had rejected him for the blunders he committed - Saul autocratically made vows and patronised superstitions. David, whom Samuel anointed as the new king, was constantly hunted by Saul till he escaped to Philistia. So Saul only succeeded in sowing some form of discord between his children ( Michal and Jonathan) and David. Before his last fight against the Philistines, Saul still revoked the ghost of Samuel by the help of Nichomancers for some words courage, yet he was still rejected; Sau...

REMEMBER THE LORD !

” Remember the former things long past,

For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is no one like Me…”
Isaiah 46:9.

Often times, we blame our stagnancy or retrogression in life on the devil, curses or some covens elsewhere rather than taking a self-check on our own attitudes to see where we miss it. It’s worth noting that forgetting God’s goodness and the kind gestures shown us by others is also a sin that can hold one back in life. Jesus, having this insight, would always give attributes to the Father in Him as the doer of His works. The following paragraphs reveal more on the need to remember the positives.

“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, …” Hebrews 6:10.

If forgetfulness is unrighteous, then remembrance is righteousness ! One personal attitude I’ve always thanked God for is that, I always dwell on the positives of people ignoring their errs no matter how hurting it could be. And this should be every believer’s lifestyle too. The verse above shows that in spite of our mistakes, God still rewards us for our good works.  Now, if we’re going to imitate God as Paul suggests in Ephesians 5:1, then we must equally remember God’s benefits and the goodness of others in our lives, by honoring them materially and with word of mouth.

” Remember the LORD your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful,…” Deuteronomy 8:18.

Secondly, remembrance enables God to preserve and sustain His blessings in our lives. But how does it happen ? Back in the old testament, the Israelites only praised God when they saw God’s Glory descend over Moses’ tent. And God, satisfied with this form of worship, never denied them of His presence. Now, seeing the Glory of God connotes remembering His goodness. So when we behold His Glory by remembering His BLESSINGS in our lives, it results in spontaneous praises unto His name and the giving of thanks, financially or materially. This in turn, provokes God to divinely enable us with His power to achieve more.

Thirdly, testimonies abound through remembrance. Let’s be quick to know that testimonies in themselves are so powerful that the Psalmist would pray, ” The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live…” Psalm 119:144.  Each time I want to seal and protect every new blessing from God, I consciously go testifying about it at  church and before my friends. Remembering God would mean meditating on The miracles of God and sharing theme with others.

Beloved, remember The Lord from afar. Regardless of where you are today – your status in finace, education, family, career, and relationship, let’s strive to honour the goodness of God and people in our lives.  That way, much more would be accomplished through our walk with The Lord ! – Jeremiah 51:50.
