HEEDING GOD !

Obeying God is foolishness to this world, yet it's this  "foolishness"  God uses to confound   "the Wise in this world"  ( Jeremiah 8:9, 1 Corinthians 1:27 & Issaiah 44:25 )

DEATH BEFORE LIFE !

“The Lord kills and gives life…”  1 Samuel 2:6. Smith Wigglesworth once said he had his healing Power from God after his heart was first broken ( he lost his wife ). Another servant said just after God told him through a Prophet that he would get a better job, he first got fired from his own job. Clearly, God’s way for His followers is different but higher – He first kills before He brings back to life !  A Man of God whose church now is one of the most expanded ones in Africa, once said His church rather took a disgraceful downturn initially when he started making mouthwatering sacrifices unto God. One other servant narrated how that his relation suffered from a crush just after he arrived from a mission for God, even with His material sacrifices – God kills and makes alive ! Before a more glorious end, Job lost his properties and children. Joseph was betrayed and disappointed a few times before arriving in the palace. How about The Lord Jesus? Preceding His death, resurrecti...

THE LORD'S ROD !

" And there shall come forth a ROD out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:" Isaiah 11:1 The ROD, Prophet Isaiah mentions in our opening verse, actually refers the Lord Jesus - The LIVING WORD. And if God could carry out strange acts with the rod in Moses' palms, He can equally perform Mighty MIRACLES in our lives with His WORD in our mouths. We all can recount the several miracles Moses' rod performed in the eyes of Pharaoh, that scared him into letting the Israelites go from Egypt. It was this same rod God asked Moses to lift over the red sea for a way out. And when there was a need for a drinking water, Moses would still hit the rock with this rod. No wonder ! He says, " ..... take this ROD in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs." Ezodus 4:17 KJV. Now, this rod is no longer physical; it's the Living Word of God in our Spirits. We hold this rod in our palms by constantly meditating upon the WORD of GOD, keeping them e...

MARKS OF GOD-APPOINTED PROPHET !

After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of hisexcellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard. JOB 37:4 our opening scripture establishes that God's genuine Prophet has no gentility when he delivers from the heart of His father. He doesn't only act strangely, but also behaves exactly like a lion while delivering, in verbatim, the message of the Lord. Identified in the content below are some more attributes of a true prophet: ROAREY The Prophet of God, as shown in our opening verse, is not a timid housefly but a voiceferous aggressive lion, whose voice appears to be taking off that roof from the building top, and shakes the ground under your feet. The tone and speed of his voice remain the same whether he is casting out demons, disclosing a secret matter or giving guidance. STRONG As a lion, the Prophet operates in divine strength. He is neither down in His body nor in the Spirit. He ably prays , fasts and ministers for several hours without feel...

RAHAB

MEANING OF NAME: “Storm,” “Arrogance,” “Broad,” or “Spacious”.

HER JOY:  She cleverly saved herself and her family would be saved.

HER REGRET: Rahab could not stop the destruction of her city.

Rahab, a prostitute in the city of Jericho was so charming that one would certainly feel a lust on mentioning her name before her.

One day, she had a knock on her door. When she opened, there were two guests. Thinking they were customers, Rahab quickly let them inn but soon discovered from their facial expressions that they were not.

The guests related to her on their mission - they sought to claim their promised land. But Rahab's only concern was to have some pleasurable moments with them so she set out to lay the bed when another knock came on the door. So loud and dreadful was this knock that Rahab chose to first hide these Israelites before attending to the new guests.

At the door were two of the king's messengers who demanded that Rahab handed over the spies to them if she was keeping them; but she lied that she despatched them off after they had fun without her knowing whom they actually were. Believing her words, the spies moved on.

Rahab made an agreement with the Israelites when she returned to them in her room - she would send them off through her window but when they ( the Israelites ) came to annihilate her city, she and her family would be saved.

Later, the Israelites conquered the land, first marching round the city walls seven times to bring it down. Rahab together with her family  was not only saved; they were also given a tent among the Israelites. It is believed that Rahab converted and married a key prophet, resulting in Bathsheba, her grand-daughter-law.
