" Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life." Proverbs  4:23. KJV. Lot of the things christians are surrounded by today in this world, chiefly the social media, are not helpful. It is the reason why our opening verse suggests that we guard our hearts. Now, the mouth speaks out of the abundance of the heart. And these spoken words go a long way to shape our lives. THE BENEFITS OF SERVING GOD !

” There is profit in all labour but…”

Proverbs 14:23

Our opening scripture says there’s profit in every labour. That’s why He says, ” Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might;…” Afterall, you’ll prosper in everything you do. But the Bible points out that he that’s from above is above all. Thus, one can equally assert that the labour from above is above all other earthly labour. The paragraphs below prove the superiority of kingdom roles over earthly professions.
( Ecclesiastes 9:10, John 3:31 )

FAVOUR & PEACE.
“The blessing of Jehovah, it maketh rich; And he addeth no sorrow therewith…”
Proverbs 10:22.

Peace is never found in wealth. Only God gives true divine peace. Accompanying the FAVOUR of God due to our continued submission to him, is Peace. Peace is the condition of The human Spirit that secures, sustains and multiplies the BLESSING. It comes as a result of our righteousness. And righteousness is the reward of FAVOUR.

JOY
“The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”
Luke 10:17.

Happiness is for a moment, but Joy lasts forever. The latter was the portion of the disciples after they’d carried out their kingdom assignment. And that shall be our reward too if we do. Joy begets LIGHT. Now when Apostle Paul made this discovery for which he was able to do so much exploits, he handed it over to us, saying, ” rejoice in The Lord “.
( Philipians 4:4 & Isaiah 12:3 )

LONGEVITY & SECURITY.
” If they listen and serve him,
they’ll finish their lives in prosperity
and their years will be pleasant. ” Job 36:11

It’s an undeniable fact that no service in the world has been able to offer this package to her employees. This is because no man can provide life, true lasting peace and good health except God. It’s neither in wealth nor is it in affiliations. And this what The Lord Jesus means when He said, ” Life is not measured by how much you own. “
( Exodus 23:26, Luke 12:15 )

Beloved, God loves business and other forms of work. But let’s endeavor to complement our carreers with kingdom tasks. That way, we will obtain priceless and unpurchasable benefits.
And irrespective of the particular role each of is play for The Lord , there’s a reward awaiting us according our works. So let’s not grow weary in doing good.
